Savory's leaves are used fresh and dried. Savory is ideal for fatty meat and fish dishes, hearty soups, potato dishes, venison and mushroom dishes.
Origins:
Originally savory came from Asia, more specifically from the eastern Mediterranean. Today, it is widely grown in Europe, India and even in South Africa.
