Christmas Punch with Marzipan (mild)
Ingredients
- 750 ml red wine
- 500 ml black tea
- 500 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- 200 ml rum
- 100 g marzipan
- 20 g dark chocolate
- 7 cloves
- 5 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 vanilla beans
- 1 cinnamon stick, whole
- Orange zest
- Lemon zest
- Lemon juice
Preparation
- Caramelise brown sugar in a pan, then add the wine, lemon juice, orange juice and tea.
- Add cloves, cinnamon sticks, and the orange and lemon zest.
- Cut the vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape out the pith and add everything to the pan.
- Chop the chocolate and marzipan into small pieces and add it to the pan.
- Heat slowly and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain, add the rum and serve.
Christmas Punch (very strong)
ingredients
- 1 lt of scotch whiskey
- 750 ml water
- 100 ml Jamaican rum
- 6 cloves
- 2 pcs. rock sugar
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 cinnamon stick, whole
- ½ lemon
- ½ orange
Preparation
- Add the whiskey, rum, fruit and spices into a sealable glass and steep for at least 30 minutes.
- Then briefly boil the whiskey mixture with the water in a saucepan. Add cinnamon, cloves, honey, and lemon juice to taste
- Strain the punch and serve hot.
Christmas Spiced Tea
Ingredients for 6 servings
- 6 cups of water
- 180 ml orange juice
- 120 g sugar
- 60 ml pineapple juice
- 6 teabags (variety according to taste)
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 piece of cinnamon bark, 2-3 cm
Preparation
- Pour the water into a saucepan and add the cloves and cinnamon stick.
- Bring the water to a boil, remove from heat, put the teabags in the water and let the tea steep to your desired taste.
- Remove the cloves, cinnamon sticks, and teabag.
- Mix the orange, lemon and pineapple juice with the sugar in a pot and bring to a boil until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Add the juice mixture to the tea, stir and serve hot.
Classic Mulled Wine
Ingredients
- 2 bottles of good red wine
- 600 ml water
- 140 g sugar
- 6 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks, whole
- 2 oranges, cut in pieces
- Juice of 2 lemons
Preparation
- Heat all the ingredients in a saucepan until they boil.
- Now add the orange slices and simmer.
- Remove the cloves and cinnamon sticks, fill into glasses and enjoy.
