Description

Soft brioche pastries are aromatic and taste particularly delicious with coffee and tea whether at breakfast or in the afternoon. With this baking mix by Berghofer Mühle, you can bake your own brioche buns at home quickly and easily. The mix contains only high-quality regional ingredients and is free from artificial additives.

In addition to the baking mix, you will need the following fresh ingredients:

9 g dry yeast or ½ cube of fresh yeast, 66 g melted butter, 325 g to 345 g lukewarm water

Preparation:

  • Stir the yeast and melted butter into 325 g to 345 g lukewarm water in a bowl.
  • Add the baking mix and knead briefly
  • Food processor: kneading time 7 – 10 minutes
  • Place the smooth dough on a floured work surface, cover and let rise at room temperature for about 30 minutes
  • Shape the dough - divide it into four equal parts and braid it
  • Then place the braided dough pieces on a perforated tray (or a normal tray), cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes
  • Brush with egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar or flaked almonds if desired.
  • Preheat the oven (convection, 170 °C)
  • Place the tray in the oven and bake until light brown - for about 20 - 25 minutes
  • Cool completely on a wire rack and enjoy.

One pack of the baking mix is enough to make about 4 braided brioche buns.
